Hi there! My name is Paulo and I am from Curitiba, a city in the south part of Brazil. I studied abroad in Canada in 2013-2014 and now I am here in Japan doing my Masters. I am the kind of person who loves to do multiple things rather than focusing just in one activity, so I have a lot to talk about. I am also passionate about teaching, so if you have any question I will do my best to explain it to you. I am looking forward to seeing you soon!

I’m Kaya and I am a Norwegian-American student currently majoring in communications studies in my favorite city, Tokyo. I have been living here since August of 2016 and am loving every minute of it (yes, even the crammed subway). I have a love for language, travel, food, and dogs. Japan, so far, has covered all those bases. As you may be able to tell already, I am 100% capable of talking your ear off, so sit down and let’s get chatting!

Hi everyone, I’m Chris and I came to Tokyo in May 2016 to learn Japanese and connect with the Japanese half of me that I know little about. Though I grew up in the suburbs of London, I spent my formative years in Glasgow where I studied Philosophy, and both the city and subject have become strong passions of mine, so please feel free to grill me on both! I think we have a great chance to share ideas and learn new things from each other, and I look forward to having a chat!

Hi! I’m Polly from Bangkok, nice to meet you all! I came to Japan this April to study Media Art at Tama Art University. I usually draw illustrations during my free time, but right now I am focusing in the field of video making and media arts.

But apart from all those geeky things, I love talking to people, exchanging cultures and thoughts. That’s why I’m here! So I hope I have a chance to talk to you all.

I am Zoria and I come from Macedonia, one of those little countries in Europe people tend not to know much about. I have been in Japan since April 2016, learning intensive Japanese so I could start with my academic research of Japanese avant-garde modern poetry next semester.

I am a curious person, so if we talk you’ll find out that I like to try new things, visit new places and my interests are really varied. From cooking and loving cats to admiring the architecture, from Europe to Asia, from k-pop to metal, I am really curious about the world. I am looking forward to talking about it all with you.

Hi I’m Frans!

I’m bilingual English/German, I have lived in 6 different countries and have always loved learning new languages. I came to Japan in August to learn more about the history, the people and the foods.

As I have studied all my languages through self-study, I know how important it is to talk about topics that are interesting and exciting, so let’s get to know each other and have a great time, learning and laughing along the way! I hope to see you soon! 🙂

Hey there, I’m Marcus from Singapore!

The place with an Infinity Pool and where chewing gum may land you in jail. Sounds scary, but I’m nothing like my country! Crazy and effervescent, you will find me dancing like a lunatic in clubs or singing to the top of my lungs in karaoke joints. But right now, I’m mostly focusing on learning Japanese and come next year, fashion school!
Yesssssss, that’s it. Looking forward to your face!

Hows it going. I’m Paul. I’ve been living in Japan for a while now … long enough to get myself settled with a family.

When I get some free time (not always easy with two young daughters), I like to read and learn new things. My favorite topics would be science, philosophy and history, but I am interestd in a lot more besides.

Otherwise, I play guitar, compose music occassionally dj (deep house, rare groove and sundry eclectica -ask me what that means!)

Oh, and I come from Dublin in Ireland. Irish people are famous for their witty, charming talk.

That, and being twinkly-eyed.

So I’ve got that going for me.

I look forward to hearing about you.

  • Movies, games, COFFEE!

I am Astia from a tropical country named Indonesia.

If you have no idea where Indonesia is, just try to remember Bali (some people know Bali more than Indonesia T.T).

But I am originally from Borneo and used to live with crocodiles, monkeys, and mosquitoes.

I am doing my masters here and have been living in Japan for 1 year, still have 1 year left, hopefully more.

I really do love traveling and drawing! Also interested in movies, games (only some), and music.

One more thing, coffee maniac!
